SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Frances Couch of Sikeston was held Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Robert Burnes and Dolan Rogers officiated, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Couch, 75, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Dallas, Tenn., daughter of Bernerd and Willie Harrison Hixson. She and Alva Couch were married July 31, 1936, in Sikeston.

Couch was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Gerald Couch of Huntsville, Ala.; a daughter, Emma Whitehorn of Sikeston; two brothers, Ralph Hixson of Chattanooga, Tenn., J.T. Hixson of Los Molinos, Calif.; three sisters, Betty Barrett of Chattanooga, Ida Smith of Ft. Collins, Colo., Nota Laseter of Phoenix, Ariz., and six grandchildren.
