Funeral mass for Marie E. Lipps of Cape Girardeau, will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Michael Zoellner will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

There is no visitation. Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lipps, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1993, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Oct. 30, 1910, at Campbell, daughter of Robert and Ada Hayes Hargraves. She and Herbert W. Lipps were married in 1930 at Scott City. He died in December 1960.

Lipps was a dispatcher 40 years with Missouri Utilities here, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Lipps, a brother, Lance Hargraves, both of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, sister and four brothers.
