SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Maxine Arnell of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Bill Dunning will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Arnell, 57, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 15, 1935, in East Prairie, daughter of Everett and Martha Stockman Ellis of Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Arnell of Louisville, Ky., Greg Arnell of Sikeston; two daughters, Brenda Smith of Clarksville, Ind., Helen Hewitt of Canalou; her parents; three brothers, Robert Ellis of Sikeston, LeRoy Ellis of St. Charles, Carl Ellis of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Doris Kelam of Hillsboro, Thelma Thompson of Nashville, Dean Hart of St. Louis, and six grandchildren.
