CORA M. LOONEY
Cora Mae Looney, 89, of 927 South Ellis, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1993 at the Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill. She was born Dec. 29, 1903, in Alto Pass, Ill., to Wesley and Mary Elen Walker Underwood. She was married to Harry O. She was born Dec. 29, 1903, in Alto Pass, Ill., to Wesley and Mary Elen Walker Underwood.
She was married to Harry O. Looney on March 22, 1925, in Caruthersville.
Looney was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, where she taught Bible school for more than 30 years.

She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include five nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home on Sprigg Street.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home on Sprigg Street.
