ADVANCE -- Bessie Bollinger, 88, of Advance, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 12, 1904, in Stoddard County, daughter of James and Clara Henson Cooper. She and Dave Bollinger were married in 1926 at Bloomfield. He died Aug. 6, 1964...

ADVANCE -- Bessie Bollinger, 88, of Advance, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 12, 1904, in Stoddard County, daughter of James and Clara Henson Cooper. She and Dave Bollinger were married in 1926 at Bloomfield. He died Aug. 6, 1964.

Bollinger was a member of People's Church here.

Survivors include three sons, Merile Bollinger of Poplar Bluff, Namen Bollinger of Waynesville, Howard Bollinger of Sikeston; five daughters, Vonda Maschmeyer of Dexter, Velma Bollinger of Waynesville, Doris Bush, Lois Limbaugh and Barbara Sokolowski of Advance; two sisters, Edna Allen of San Pedro, Calif., Gladys Warren of Bloomfield; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Revs. John Tolbert and Robert Gardner will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today.
