EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Leonard Clyde Jones of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Amos Johnson will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jones, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born July 6, 1902, in Savannah, Tenn., son of Davis and Annie Crider Jones. He and Frankie Emma Wolford were married Oct. 25, 1925.

Jones was a member of Victory Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Lewis Jones of East Prairie; a daughter, Mary Miller of East Prairie; five sisters, Estella Jones, Ovella Jones, Gladys Smith and Alice Geans, all of Savannah, Verla Caperton of Naylor; a granddaughter, and great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and brother.
