JONESBORO, Ill. -- Carl B. Vaughn, 65, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1993, at Life Care Center.

He was born May 30, 1927, at Campbell, Mo., son of Robert and Verna Crow Vaughn.

Vaughn was a deckhand on a riverboat.

Survivors include four brothers, Robert Vaughn of Boulder, Colo., Billie Vaughn of Peoria, Ill., Jimmy Vaughn of St. Louis, Paul Killam of New Market, Iowa; five sisters, Helen Niederkorn of Scott City, Virginia Moore of Wayne, Mich., Marie Ollis of Crest Hill, Ill., Joan Reese of Peoria, Ruth Eaton of Jackson, Mo.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel. Pastor Christine Erdmann will officiate, with burial in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
