Neva Louise Stone, 76, of 1751 Themis, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1993, in her home.
She was born March 4, 1916, in Morley, daughter of Clarence W. and Lula Wolsey Cannon.
She married Lloyd Stone on Oct. 14, 1936 in Jackson. He died June 26, 1979.
Stone worked in the maternity ward of Southeast Missouri Hospital for 33 years, until she retired in 1989. She was also a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women and the Quilting Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Stone of Wilmington, Del., James Stone of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Joan Segraves of Cape Girardeau, Betty Winneker of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Julia Nations of Cape Girardeau, Marjorie Williams of Cape Girardeau, Marie Cope of Eureka, Mo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter and three brothers.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernest Swartz officiating.
Burial will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Morley.
