GRACE HIGGINS

CAIRO, Ill. -- Grace Higgins, 84, of Cairo, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1993, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

She was born Nov. 1, 1908, in Blair, Mich., daughter of Heilke and Anna VanPolan Hoogewerf.

She was married to John "Jack" Higgins. He died in 1985.

Higgins was a member of the Cairo United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a brother, John Hoogewerf of Zephyrshill, Fla.; two nieces; seven nephews and a great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, Ill.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Barkett Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Burchyett officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
