CLARA C. JONES

ADVANCE -- Clara C. Jones, 94, of Advance died Friday, Feb. 26, 1993 at the Advance Nursing Care Center.

She was born Dec. 4, 1898 near Advance, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Sarah Sanders Tanner.

She was a homemaker early in her married life and later worked in a nursing home as a cook and housekeeper.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murphysboro, Ill., where she once resided.

She married William Jones in 1921 at Bloomfield. He preceded her in death in 1957.

She is survived by one sister, Nona Dunn, Advance; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Friends may call Monday from 9-11 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Clinton Woodfin, pastor of the Advance First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro, Ill.
