MARIE H. BEATY

Marie H. Beaty, 84, of 208 Louis, Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, March 13 1993, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 28, 1908, in Cape Girardeau, to John H. and Rosa P. Ostendorf Herbst.

She married Ralph Beaty in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, June R. Simpson of Norfolk, Va., two sisters, Margaret Griffaw and Lucille, both of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

Beaty was retired from the JC Penny store in Cape Girardeau, where she worked in the ready-to-wear department.

She was a member of St. Marys Cathedral, past president of the Cape Girardeau VFW auxiliary, a member of the St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary, where she served many years as treasurer; and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Monday, at Ford & Sons South Sprigg Street Chapel. Parish prayers will be recited at the chapel at 7:30 p.m., Monday.

The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Michael Zoellner officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
