Connie Mae Slinkard, 89, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, March 18, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1904, in Bollinger County, daughter of Matt and Rada Stevens Mungle. Connie Mae Slinkard, 89, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, March 18, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 1, 1904, in Bollinger County, daughter of Matt and Rada Stevens Mungle.

Slinkard worked at International Shoe Co. in Jackson a number of years, and in a dormitory kitchen at Southeast Missouri State University 18 years.

Survivors include a son, Paul Slinkard of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lola Guffey of Cape Girardeau, Asley Young of Kansas City, Kan., and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel after noon Monday.
