BELL CITY -- Funeral service for Earl Rodney Williams of Bell City will be held at 10 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Ted Stone will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery at East Prairie.

Williams, 66, died Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at his home.

He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Corning, Ark., son of Henry Lee and Rosalee Rice Williams. He married Lula Faye Mansfield.

Williams was a deckhand on a riverboat.

Survivors include three sons, Rodney Williams of Chrisney, Ind., Jerry Williams of St. Louis, Joey Williams of Bloomfield; a daughter, Karen Hawkins of Brownwood; a brother, Henry Williams of Toledo, Ohio; four sisters, Marie Warren of Poplar Bluff, Willa Brewer of Jonesboro, Ark., Melvina Jennings and Joan Bollinger of Bell City; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and two brothers.
