BETTY J. HRUBY

MARBLE HILL -- Betty Jean Hruby, 68, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, April 4, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Colorado Springs, Colo., daughter of Morris and Mary Devel Emrick. She and William Hruby were married March 17, 1942.

The Hrubys moved here from Westmont, Ill., in 1978. She was a retired nurse aide, and member of Marble Hill First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Hruby of Cape Girardeau, Michael Hruby of Wheaton, Ill.; a daughter, Mary Gillen of Marble Hill; a brother, Lavain Staley of Federal Dam, Minn.; two sisters, Ardis Rurup of Downers Grove, Ill., Bonnie Hobson of Napierville, Ill., and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call at Adams Winterfield and Sullivan Funeral Home in Downers Grove from 3-9 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in Claredon Hills Cemetery in Hinsdale, Ill.
