VERONICA G. GREASER

Veronica Gertrude Greaser, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, April 6, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born June 3, 1902, at Tilsit, daughter of Louis and Teresa Schaefer LaCroix. She and Clarence Greaser Sr. were married Nov. 22, 1922, at Gordonville. He died July 21, 1985.

The Greasers moved to Cape Girardeau in the mid 1950s from the family farm. She worked at St. Francis Hospital 25 years, retiring in 1975. She worked in the laundry department 12 years and in the laboratory 13 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Ann's Sodality, Friends of St. Francis and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Clarence Greaser Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Edna Smith of Cape Girardeau, Audrey Humes of Jackson; a sister, Kletia Killian of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC rosary at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral.
