Florence Jobe, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, April 28, 1993, at the Lutheran Home. She was born July 19, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herbst. She married Hardee A. Jobe in St. Louis. She is survived by her husband...

Florence Jobe, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, April 28, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born July 19, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herbst. She married Hardee A. Jobe in St. Louis.

She is survived by her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Jobe attended the former Catholic School for Girls here. She was a ticker tape operator for Western Union in St. Louis during World War II.

Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. today, at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Owen officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis County.
