JACKSON -- Albert LeRoy Beattie, 80, of Jackson, died Wednesday, May 26, 1993, at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1912, at Jackson, son of John Albert and Eunice Lillian Hinkle Beattie. JACKSON -- Albert LeRoy Beattie, 80, of Jackson, died Wednesday, May 26, 1993, at his home.

He was born Oct. 10, 1912, at Jackson, son of John Albert and Eunice Lillian Hinkle Beattie.

He was married to Ruby Elaine Webb, Aug. 11, 1938, at Jackson.

Beattie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson. He was a member and volunteer of the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.

He worked for the Cashbook Newspaper and Printing Company from 1934-1979, where he was a reporter, printer and graphic artist.

From 1979-1992, he worked for the Lenco Corporation where he was manager of the print shop.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diane Tidd of Jackson, Gloria Friedrich of Scott City; a brother, Paul Beattie of Jackson; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral services will be a 2 p.m. Friday at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. Jeff Sippy officiating.

Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
