ALBERT M. HENGST

Albert M. Hengst, 104, Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Thursday, May 27, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Sept. 24, 1888, at Egypt Mills, son of William and Amelia Niedling Hengst. He and Meta Louise Caroline Lehne were married Nov. 29, 1917. She died Nov. 20, 1988.

Hengst owned and operated Spring Valley Farm near Trail of Tears Park, retiring in 1978. He was a lifelong member of Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church, and served several years on the cemetery committee and board of trustees.

Survivors include a daughter, Verna Hanna, Cape Girardeau Route 1, and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
