EAST PRAIRIE -- James Norval Bohannon, 72, of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, May 27, 1993.
He was born March 9, 1921, in East Prairie, son of Grover Lawrence and Celia Ann Bohannon. He and Effie Green Johnson were married Dec. 12, 1952.
Bohannon was a retired mechanic, and member of the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Calvin Bohannon of Charleston.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Aubrey Wilson will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday.
