EILEEN E. KLAPROTH

Eileen Emeline Klaproth, 77, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 28, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 24, 1915, at Steeleville, Mo., daughter of William Lay and Elfleda Scott Lay.

She married Clarence Klaproth on May 18, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1978.

She is survived by a son, David Klaproth, Carbondale, Ill.; daughter, Ellen Sue Seib, Cape Girardeau; sister, Josephine Beezley, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Masters in Elementary Education. She taught school nine years at May Greene and 10 years at Hawthorn in Cape Girardeau. She and her husband operated Cape Cleaners 20 years. She was a past member of the Senior Ladies Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
