EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Edna E. Keeton, formerly of East Prairie, will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Keeton, 78, died Tuesday, June 29, 1993, at Sikeston Health Care Center.

She was born Nov. 26, 1914, in Lake County, Tenn., daughter of Hughie Anderson and Tennie Elizabeth Todd Shands. She and Rodney W. Keeton were married Dec. 8, 1934, in Hickman, Ky. He died May 27, 1983.

Keeton was formerly co-owner of Keeton's Grocery here.

Survivors include a brother, James Shands of East Prairie, and a sister, Louise Stone of Bertrand.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
