BENTON -- Tillman Luther Turner, 73, Benton Route 1, died Tuesday, June 29, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 30, 1919, at Benton, son of Thomas Richard and Dora Belle Dickerson Turner. He and Willie Lee Caraway were married Nov. 22, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz.

Turner was a bus driver and custodian at Kelly High School 33 years. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, and had been choir director 15 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Turner of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Carolyn Davis and Brenda Ward of Sikeston, Barbara Criss of Benton; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Unity Baptist Church. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
