Charles Paul Withers, 29, of Miami Beach, Fla., died Thursday, July 1, 1993, at his home. He was born July 20, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, son of W.R. and Mari Michelson Withers. Withers was a 1981 graduate of Central High School and a member of its swim team. Charles Paul Withers, 29, of Miami Beach, Fla., died Thursday, July 1, 1993, at his home.

He was born July 20, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, son of W.R. and Mari Michelson Withers.

Withers was a 1981 graduate of Central High School and a member of its swim team. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, receiving degrees in engineering, political science and house design. He then moved to Miami Beach and attended the University of Miami two years.

Survivors include his parents, W.R. Withers and Mari Matthews of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Greg Withers of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jill Limbaugh of St. Louis, and maternal grandmother, Faye Michelson of Oran.

Friends may call Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. the funeral home with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
