MARIE MADDOX

ORAN -- Marie Maddox, 84, of Oran died Thursday, July 1, 1993 in Houston, Texas.

She was born Jan. 27, 1909 at Puxico, the daughter of Henry Hibner and Lena Mae Barnes.

She married James Franklin Maddox on Sept. 18, 1927 and he preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1975. One daughter also preceded her in death.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Oran. She was past worthy matron of Eastern Star in Mascoutah, Ill., and a member of the Order of Eastern Star 342 in Morley.

She is survived by two sons, James Maddox, Houston, Texas, Edward Maddox, Petersburg, Ill.; two sisters, Elma Bramstedt, Mascoutah, Ill., Bobby Easton, Worthington, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Oran with the Rev. John Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.

Friends may call Monday at 4 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m.
