CHARLESTON -- Mary Anne Winkie, 82, of St. Louis, formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, July 4, 1993, at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Aug. 27, 1910, at Charleston, daughter of William and Lucretta P. Scheffer Hart. She was married to Walter Winkie. He died in 1966...

CHARLESTON -- Mary Anne Winkie, 82, of St. Louis, formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, July 4, 1993, at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 27, 1910, at Charleston, daughter of William and Lucretta P. Scheffer Hart.

She was married to Walter Winkie. He died in 1966.

Survivors include four sisters, Pauline Thurman of Charleston, Pearl Newcomb of Pekin, Ill., Isabel Anderson of Granite City, Ill., and Alvina Forrester of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and six brothers.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Thomas of Aquin Catholic Church in St. Louis, with Msgr. Richard J. Gallagher officiating.

Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
