Helen Conrad, 89, of Sherman, Texas, died Wednesday, July 7, 1993.
She was born March 15, 1904, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles Byron and Dora Day Lamb. She and C.C. Conrad were married Aug. 17, 1926, in Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 15, 1976.
Conrad graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, and received a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She taught high school mathematics in Cape Girardeau, Jefferson City, and in Little Rock, Ark.
Conrad has held membership in American Personnel and Guidance Association, Association of College Admission Counselors and National Teachers of Mathematics.
She also had been a board member of American Association of University Women, League of Women Voters, and American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include a son, David Conrad of Sherman; a daughter, Carol Bailey of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Maurine Lamb and Mary Schnedorf of Wichita Falls, Texas, Eloise Bittles of O'Fallon, Ill.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Daniel Funeral Home in Sherman was in charge of arrangements. There are no services.
