MARBLE HILL -- The. Rev. Hersel McCormick, 84, of Marble Hill died Friday, July 9, 1993 at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 26, 1909 at Hahn, Mo. to William M. and Sarah Yount McCormick.

He married Maude Shanks on Dec. 27, 1929. She preceded him in death Oct. 3, 1977. On Feb. 3, 1979, he married Myrtle Null Wiseman. She survives.

Other survivors include one brother, Perkins McCormick of Marble Hill.

He was a member of the Lutesville General Baptist Church. He had been ordained in the Old Liberty Association many years ago. He had pastored churches throughout Missouri and Illinois.

He was a member of the Rebeccah Lodge and the Oddfellows Lodge 100F of Marble Hill.

One brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call today after 5 p.m. at the Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Floyd Grindstaff and the Rev. Lloyd Ray Green officiating. Burial will be in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
