Lona E. Harmon Steinhoff, 86, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at Meadowbrook Manor there. She was born Feb. 6, 1907, at Rising Star, Texas, daughter of Bill and Annie Dawson. She married L.A. Harmon in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1953. She later married Milton Steinhoff in Cape Girardeau, who died in 1969...

Lona E. Harmon Steinhoff, 86, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at Meadowbrook Manor there.

She was born Feb. 6, 1907, at Rising Star, Texas, daughter of Bill and Annie Dawson. She married L.A. Harmon in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1953. She later married Milton Steinhoff in Cape Girardeau, who died in 1969.

Steinhoff was owner and manager of Harmon Sewing Machine Center in Cape Girardeau a number of years.

Survivors include a stepson, Loyd Harmon of Columbia; a grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating.

Memorial Funeral Home at Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
