EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Opal Bisher, East Prairie Route 2, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Ernest Brown and David Dowdy will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bisher, 81, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 5, 1911, in Mississippi County, daughter of William Jack and Mattie Noble England Parker. She and Charlie Martin Bisher were married July 17, 1927. He died Sept. 6, 1978.

Bisher was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Bill Bisher of LaPlace, La., Jerry Bisher of Hickory, Ky., Gordon Bisher of Webster Groves; two daughters, Betty Husk of Cape Girardeau, Patti Pope of East Prairie; a brother, Paul Parker of East Prairie; a sister, Queen Henry of East Prairie; 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sons, four brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
