Leona Casey, 95, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1993, at Cape LaCroix Manor. She was born Jan. 30, 1898, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ruben and Frances Summers Ellis. She and Hiram H. Casey were married Feb. 25, 1950, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 8, 1978...

Leona Casey, 95, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1993, at Cape LaCroix Manor.

She was born Jan. 30, 1898, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ruben and Frances Summers Ellis. She and Hiram H. Casey were married Feb. 25, 1950, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 8, 1978.

Casey worked at International Shoe Co. 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Missionary Circle and Golden Rule Sunday School Class.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Maxine Sanford of Scott City, Evelyn Wilson of New Braunfels, Texas, and a brother, Oren Ellis of Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
