Gertrude Vranesh, 76, 507 Green Acres, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 18, 1917, in New York City, daughter of Edward Francis and Leonora DeRevere Farrell. She and Michael T. Vranesh Sr. were married in 1948 in St. Louis.

Vranesh had been a claims clerk with the IRS in St. Louis.

She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1973. Vranesh was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Cape Girardeau Circle 603 Daughters of Isabella, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 63, and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 16.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael Vranesh Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., Richard Vranesh of Falls Church, Va., and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Ron Hoye will officiate, with burial in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today. Daughters of Isabella prayers will be held at 7, and parish prayers at 7:30.
