NELLIE M. MCLARD

JACKSON -- Nellie M. McLard, of Jackson, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1993, at the Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born May 26, 1908, at Neelys Landing, Mo., daughter of Ben and Bertha Farrow Meyer.

She married William H. McLard, Sept. 4, 1926, at Jackson. He died Sept. 27, 1987.

McLard was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and the Neelys Homemakers Extension Club.

Survivors include three sons, Jack D. McLard of Imperial, Mo., Fred H. McLard of Jackson, Cecil L. McLard of Barnhart, Mo.; four daughters, Velma M. Craiglow of Jackson, Alma L. Smith of Los Lomas, Calif., Lillie Bagley of San Dimas, Calif., Shirley Holling of Monrovia, Calif.; a brother, Alfred Meyer of Jackson; two sisters, Louise McCain of Jackson, Lucille Davis of Oak Ridge, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a daughter.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Slatton officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
