ESTHER M. HUBBS

Esther M. Hubbs, 76, of Glendale, Ariz. formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1993, at Hospice Camelot Care Center in Peoria, Ariz.

She was born Dec. 27, 1916 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Benjamin H. and Nellie Bess Hinkle.

On Aug. 1, 1959, she married Roy Hubbs in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1987.

Two sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters Shirley Arhontis, Elvins, Mo., Marilyn Welker, Glendale, Ariz.; two sons, Jack Kitchen, Cape Girardeau, Gary Kitchen, Jackson; one brother, Eldon Hinkle, Florida; four sisters, Alma Mayfield, Sikeston, Virginia Allison, Georgia, Velma Nanna, Fredericktown, Burnice Schwab, Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She retied from the Woolworth Department Store where she had worked 43 years.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Bill Kitchen officiating.

Burial will follow in Jonesoboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
