HERMAN L. HARRIS

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Herman Leslie Harris of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Paul Balch will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.

Harris, 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 15, 1905, in Lamar, Ark., son of Walter and Amy Casey Harris. He and Walsie Victoria Smith were married July 30, 1927, in Lamar. She died Feb. 18, 1988.

Harris was a retired farmer, and member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Raines of Sikeston; two sisters, Inez Hyatt of Daleno, Calif., Earnestine Wallace of Aurora; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, three brothers and a sister.
