BENTON -- Wade Spencer Brock, 79, Benton Route 1, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1991, at his home.

He was born Jan. 6, 1912, at Benton, son of Robert and Amelia Steimle Brock. He and the former Etta Pauline "Jackie" Pattengill were married Nov. 9, 1935, at New Madrid.

A lifelong resident of the area, Brock was a self-employed farmer and truck driver.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom Brock of Sikeston, Danny Joe Brock of Benton; five daughters, Betty Weible of Crystal City, Sally Hoffmeister of St. Louis, Jackie Goureau of Festus, Annette Burford of Chicago, Debbie Brock of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Robert Brock of Jackson; two sisters, Rebecca Dirnberger of New Hamburg, Catherine Henry of Houston, Texas, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. John Gregory will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
