ANNA, Ill. -- Lena M. Verble, 97, of Anna, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1992, at Union County Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 15, 1894, in Union County, daughter of Dennis and Nettie Gunter Hess. She married James O. Verble, who preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1954...ANNA, Ill. -- Lena M. Verble, 97, of Anna, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1992, at Union County Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1894, in Union County, daughter of Dennis and Nettie Gunter Hess. She married James O. Verble, who preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1954.
Verble was a member of Anna United Methodist Church and its Daughters of Wesley Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a sister, Mayme Winn of Anna.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funral Home here. The Rev. Phil Poe will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Saturday.
