Emma L. Sander, 91, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1992, at the Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was born Oct. 4, 1900, daughter of Henry Karl Sander and Martha Sophia Bohnsack Sander.
She married Henry William Sander on May 22, 1930 in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1981.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Other survivors are four sons, Vernon Sander and Robert Sander of Cape Girardeau, Ivan Sander of Columbia and Charles Sander of Penfield, N.Y.; two daughters, Martha Frances Sanderson, Cape Girardeau and Betty Statler, Perryville; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Ernest Swartz. Burial will be at Zion Methodist Cemetery.
