MARBLE HILL -- Henry L. Cook, 79, of Marble Hill, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at his home.

He was born April 18, 1912, near Hurricane, son of Adam Lee and Kizzie Caroline Langston Cook. He and Luddie I. Garland were married Dec. 4, 1932. She died Aug. 22, 1981.

Cook was retired from Lutesville Pallet Manufacturing Co., and attended Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Norman Cook of Jackson, Billy Cook of Festus; two daughters, Shirley Owen of Marble Hill, Jewell Cook of Patton; five brothers, Charley, Tom, Perl, Grover and John D. Cook of Marble Hill; four sisters, Bertha Cook, Annie Long, Ruby Hanners and Iva Nelson of Marble Hill; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. Arzie Long and Jimmie Fulbright will officiate, with burial in Hurricane Fork Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
