CECIL WILLIAM TAYLOR

EAST PRAIRIE -- Cecil William Taylor, 81, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Jan. 17, 1910, in Clinton, Ky., son of John William and Robbie Jefferson Jackson Taylor. He and Rosie E. Burnes were married June 15, 1929.

Taylor was a farmer, and member of First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife; a son, William Taylor of East Prairie; a daughter, Elizabeth Allen of East Prairie; three brothers, Joe, Frankie and Bill Mitchell of East Prairie; four sisters, Lexie Mitchell and Bessie Oliphant of East Prairie, Elsie Logan of Porterville, Calif., Lucille Tolliver of Union City, Tenn.; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. George White will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near here.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
