Wayne "Wally" Garrott, 73, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992, at Cape La Croix Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Anna, Ill., son of Jesse and Ivah Keller Garrott.
He married Arlene Hartline on March 28, 1942, in Cape Girardeau. She survives.
He was in the Air Force for 21 years, serving during World War II. He then worked for the Post Office in Cape Girardeau for 17 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the East Cape Baptist Church and the VFW in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors are one son, Cletus Garrott, Moberly; two daughters, Carol Rose and Phyllis Rose of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; one brother, Jesse Jean Garrott, Northbrook, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
One son, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery near Dongola, Ill.
