JONESBORO, Ill. -- Richard "Richie" Gibbs, 36, Jonesboro Route 1, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1955, at Anna, son of Luther and Gladys Arnold Gibbs. He and Betty Dangbar were married at Reynoldsville. Gibbs was a boiler operator at Uniman Co. in Elco. He was a member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church, and Laborers Local 1440 of Cairo...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Richard "Richie" Gibbs, 36, Jonesboro Route 1, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at his home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1955, at Anna, son of Luther and Gladys Arnold Gibbs. He and Betty Dangbar were married at Reynoldsville.

Gibbs was a boiler operator at Uniman Co. in Elco. He was a member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church, and Laborers Local 1440 of Cairo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Gibbs; a brother, Gary Gibbs, and a sister, Maxine Pender, all of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Verlee Eaker and A.W. Landis will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
