SCOTT CITY -- Augusta Ann "Lady" Peetz, 83, of Scott City, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1992, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 30, 1908, in Ancell, daughter of William Walter and Amelia Sander Walter. She married Otto Henry Peetz on Feb. 15, 1930 at Illmo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1973...

SCOTT CITY -- Augusta Ann "Lady" Peetz, 83, of Scott City, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1992, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 30, 1908, in Ancell, daughter of William Walter and Amelia Sander Walter.

She married Otto Henry Peetz on Feb. 15, 1930 at Illmo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1973.

He worked at the Ely Walker Factory for 10 years and then for the Scott City Public Schools, retiring in 1963.

He was a member of the Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, the church Ladies Aid, and the Scott City Senior Citizens.

Survivors are one son, Walter Dean Peetz of Springfield, Ill.; one daughter, Gale Ann Dale of Scott City; two brothers, Bill Walter of Cape Girardeau and Louis Walter of Scott City; two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Wilma Walter both of Scott City and three grandchildren.

Friends may call today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 2:30 p.m.

A prayer service will be held Thursday at 2:30 at the funeral chapel. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Eisleben Lutheran Church with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
