Bernice Hardy, 79, 1440 N. Main, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1912, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles F. and Carrie Mae Blake Wells. She married William E. Hardy May 21, 1933, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 17, 1982...

Bernice Hardy, 79, 1440 N. Main, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Sept. 28, 1912, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles F. and Carrie Mae Blake Wells. She married William E. Hardy May 21, 1933, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 17, 1982.

Hardy worked at Rust and Martin many years.

Survivors include a son, James Hardy of Smyrna, Ga.; a brother, William Wells of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Maurine Richardson of Fresno, Calif., and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. John Owen will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
