ADVANCE -- T.A. Niswonger, 82, of Advance Route 1, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He had been hospitalized for two weeks.
He was born Oct. 28, 1909 at Millersville, the son of Lee Niswonger and Nora Walker Niswonger.
He married Elda Kassal on May 31, 1929. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Betty Jane Abernathy, Whitewater Route 1, Doris Coomer, Chaffee Route 2; one half-brother, Norman Niswonger, Kleen, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Tarantine, Wellsville, N.Y.; two step-sisters, Leona Jones, Cape Girardeau, Helen Winkler, Illinois; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Four sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
He lived on a farm west of Delta in the Hickory Ridge community since 1938 and retired in 1974.
He worked out of ASCS office in Jackson for a number of years as a land checker and was a former member of National Farm Organization.
He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church at Uniontown and for the past several years was a member of St. Paul Lutheran at Chaffee.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson with the Rev. Karl Leeman officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
