Gerald D. Sample, 47, of Sikeston, died Saturday Jan. 25, 1992 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Nov. 8, 1944 in Big Springs, Tex. He was a member of the Baptist faith and had worked in the past at the Erlbacher Foundry, the John Reed Service Station, and with the City of Cape Girardeau Park Department.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Sample of McClure, and mother, Barbara Sample of Kelso; a brother, Robert Sample of Cape Girardeau; and a friend, Lois Fodge of Sikeston.

Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
