ANNA, Ill. -- Thelma M. Nimmo, 88, of Alton, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Friday, Jan. 24, 1992 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.

She was born Feb. 18, 1903 at Saginaw, Mich., the daughter of William and Mary Laegler Kolb.

On March 2, 1932, she married George T. Nimmo in Jonesboro, Ill. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1983.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Nimmo, Blue Springs, Mo., Gary Nimmo, Godfrey, Ill.; one sister, Helen Smith, Saginaw, Mich.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church at Anna.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home at Jonesboro with the Rev. Albert Nyland officiating. Burial will follow at Anna Cemetery.
