EFFIE M. COOPER

CHARLESTON -- Effie Marie Cooper, 79, of Charleston, died Wednesday, March 11, 1992, at Charleston Manor.

She was born Sept. 15, 1912, at Dalton, daughter of John and Iva Benson. She married Otis Cooper in 1929, who preceded her in death.

Cooper moved to Charleston in 1985 from Chicago, and was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church here.

Survivors include two sisters, Mabel Mullins and Bessie Cleaves of Charleston.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Church. The Rev. J.L. Posey will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday.
