SCOTT CITY -- Theodore Charles Ziegler, 78, of Scott City, died Saturday, March 14, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 16, 1914 at Oran, son of Jacob Joseph and Mary Halter Ziegler.

He married Celestia LeDure on March 4, 1935 at Jackson. She survives.

He was a retired truck driver, having worked for Bob Albrecht Dairy in Scott City and later for Community Sanitation in Scott City.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.

Surviving, besides his wife, are one son, David Ziegler of Kelso; three daughters, Shirley Glastetter of Chaffee, Darlene Duff of Scott City and Vivian Buehrle of Ballwin; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

One brother, one sister, one son, one daughter, and two great-grandchildren preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City.

There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Roger Leveillee officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
