MARBLE HILL -- Earl Long, 74, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, March 29, 1992, at his home.

He was born May 17, 1917, near Lutesville, son of Henry Lee and Laura Langston Long. He and Essie Mae Pulliam were married Sept. 11, 1943. She died Dec. 20, 1990.

Long was a retired timber worker, and member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Larry "Bud" and Jerry Long of Marquand, Freddie Long of Marble Hill; two daughters, Diana Sitzes and Darlene Jordan of Marble Hill; three sisters, Carrie Kirkpatrick, Hattie Kirkpatrick and Mattie Henson of Marble Hill; 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter and sister.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Home here. The Revs. Harold Mills and C.E. Henson will officiate, with burial in Hurricane Fork Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
