RILLA FORD

Rilla Ford, 89, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday night, May 8, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Nov. 12, 1902, at Advance, daughter of James and Nellie Searcey Barks.

She married Clarence Albert Ford Oct. 16, 1923, at Jackson. He died Dec. 8, 1964.

She had been a resident of Deal Nursing Home at Jackson for the past six years.

She was a member of the Whitewater Baptist Church and a charter member of the Eastern Star of Whitewater. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1960 from Whitewater.

Survivors are a brother, Buford Barks, Overland; and stepdaughters, Delores Hampton, Cape Girardeau, and Minnie Pike, Phoenix, Ariz.;

A stepdaughter also preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. today.

Service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
